Team Yandex and BetBoom Team won their first matches at BLAST SLAM VIII

Team Yandex and BetBoom Team kicked off BLAST SLAM VIII with victories over MOUZ and OG, respectively.

Team Yandex won the first map 27–11 in 32 minutes and the second 38–30 in 42 minutes.

BetBoom Team won 2–1. The team played with Vitaly “Save-” Melnik in the mid lane for the first time. On the first two maps, he played Muerta—the mid laner posted a KDA of 8/2/17 and 3/5/2. The decisive map featured numerous twists and turns and ended at the 87-minute mark. Save- played on the mid lane with a KDA of 12/3/12.

In the next match, Team Yandex will face BB Team for a spot in the playoffs, while MOUZ will face OG in a do-or-die match to avoid elimination from the tournament. The games will take place on October 1.

The day’s action will continue with the matches PARIVISION vs. LGD Gaming, Level UP vs. Xtreme Gaming, and Team Nemesis vs. Natus Vincere. The winner of the first matchup will advance to the playoffs, while the losers of the remaining matches will be eliminated from the championship.
