According to Steam Charts, the average number of concurrent players in Dota 2 over the past 30 days is 646,000. This figure has surpassed the previous record set over the past 10 years.
Previously, the highest figure was 639,000, recorded in October 2016. Looking beyond the 10-year period, the record stands at 709,000, set in February of that same year.
The current patch—7.41f—was released in mid-September, and version 7.41 was released in March of this year. Previously, Dota 2’s peak concurrent players reached its highest level since 2022—this occurred following the release of the Trove of Terror, which featured Immortal sets that change ability icons and effects, as well as two Arcana sets.
