Regarding the compendium: based on the files, it should be released this week from Thursday to Friday. The previous compendium came out two weeks before The International started, and we’re also set to release Chapter 3 of the Dark Carnival next week, it would make more sense to drop the compendium alongside Chapter 3, but who knows for sure—the compendium files could have been uploaded back when Valve wasn’t sure about the Carnival dates, and in terms of timing, next week makes more sense—it’s about two weeks before The International.
A little later, 1w Team manager Aldar “Jamba” Jambinov explained on Telegram the reason for the delay in releasing the compendium for The International 2026:
“Why is the compendium delayed?” you might ask.
The thing is, some clubs didn’t meet the deadlines and schedule.
They were given some time to make corrections and submit the remaining information.
Earlier, Ultimate GG managing partner Dmitry “Instamityay” Serebrennikov spoke about working on a concept for a team roster for The International 2026 for one of the teams and shared his expectations for its release.
