Former Vici Gaming support Zhao “XinQ” Zixing spoke in an interview at The International 2026 about his time off after last year’s tournament, as well as sharing his thoughts on the issues facing his former club.
Last year after TI, I wanted to take a little break. During my time off, I didn’t play any games; I traveled a lot, sometimes went to the mountains, visited some scenic spots, just relaxed—I didn’t touch a computer at all.
We struggled throughout the entire season; we had some bad “habits”—for example, after every break, we didn’t play very well—so we decided to hold more training camps to prepare for The International 2026.
Earlier, Vici Gaming lost to Team Falcons 0–2 in the group stage elimination round of The International 2026 and exited the year’s premier tournament, finishing in 9th–13th place. Following their elimination, the club decided to disband its Dota 2 roster.
