“Team Spirit is a very good and strong team”: an interview with Sepat from Vamos at MSC 2026

In Paris, our reporter spoke with Muhammad “Sepat” Aujan from Team Vamos. In the interview, the player highlighted Team Spirit’s strengths, named the strongest competitive region in MLBB, and speculated on which hero needs a complete revamp.

Hi! Let’s start with your impressions of Paris. Is this your first time here? Have you had a chance to see anything interesting in the city yet?

Yes, Paris is the farthest place I’ve ever been. This is the first time an MLBB tournament is being held in Europe, and before this, the farthest place I’d traveled to was Russia. It’s a really great city, and I’m really enjoying my time here.

This isn’t your first time competing in an MSC series tournament, and the last one wasn’t held in France. What do you think of how the event is organized? Is there anything different from what you saw in Saudi Arabia?

So far, everything’s completely different. Especially the players’ lounge—it’s much bigger compared to what we had in Saudi Arabia. But everything’s really great, and the atmosphere here is just fantastic, too.

You’ve also competed in M-Series tournaments, where the format is a bit different. At Mid-Season, there’s no Swiss system or lower bracket in the playoffs. Which format do you prefer: the one where you have room for error, or the more traditional one?

I think the current MSC format is good. There’s no second chance here, so you have to give it your all, and there’s no room for error either. That’s exactly what I find most challenging about the current MSC.

Now a few questions about your first match. You picked Atlas and Guinevere. What can you say about these heroes—how well do they suit your team?

Atlas is in the meta right now, and Guinevere is a very strong hero overall, so we like to pick her. Both of these heroes are in the meta right now—that’s all there is to it.

The second question is about Eidora. She’s not the most popular pick, but you picked her twice and won both maps. What do you think of this hero?

After her rework, Eidora became very strong. Thanks to the stacking mechanic on her first ability, she’s become much better as a pick. That’s why we’re picking her—she’s in the meta right now and, in my opinion, one of the best mid laners in this patch.

Team Spirit, a team from our region, held their bootcamp in Malaysia. Did you get a chance to play against them, and how would you rate their form?

Yes, we played a few friendly matches against them. They’d visited Malaysia before, and we played against them then as well. Team Spirit is a very good and strong team.

How would you assess the current level of your region? Is there a chance that, over time, Malaysia could surpass Indonesia or the Philippines?

If we’re talking about the strongest region, I’d still pick the Philippines because that’s where the strongest teams play. To get better, we need to play against them as much as possible.

Maybe SRG can beat them. But Vamos hasn’t had a chance to face them yet. We hope that when that opportunity comes, we’ll be able to show what we’re made of.

Okay, then I wish you the best of luck with that! Now, a few questions about the meta. How do you feel about the current experience line?

I think the current meta is very… very difficult for explainers. Now the jungle spawns at 0:25, and even if the jungler doesn’t take the buff, they can still reach level four quickly. That’s why on the experience lane, you now have to pay much closer attention to the map and avoid dying on your lane.

Can you name your top 3 or top 5 heroes on the experience lane right now?

If we’re talking about my favorite heroes in this patch, they’re Freya, Pakito, Arlott, Fovius, and Esmeralda.

Do you think any of the heroes on the EXP lane need a full-fledged rework?

I’d pick Alice. When you use her ultimate, you can’t use her first ability anymore, which makes it really hard to get the timing right. I don’t even know how to play her anymore, haha.

You mentioned Freya, who appeared in almost 100% of MPL drafts this spring. In your opinion, what is this hero’s main strength that sets her apart from the rest?

Freya is just too good of a hero. You can—and should—play her aggressively, which gives you a lot of advantages. Freya can quickly invade the enemy jungle and disrupt the jungler—and on top of that, she’s very strong and hard to kill.

And one last question. Right now, fighters, tanks, and assassins are all performing well on the experience lane. In your opinion, which of these roles is the strongest right now, or which one do you like the most?

I’d say assassins. You just need to farm, and then lead your team to victory. That’s it.
