Aeon on Team Liquid PH’s elimination from the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026: “This is not at all the result we expected.”
Team Liquid PH coach Ong Wei “Aeon” Shen, in an interview at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026, assessed his team’s performance in the match against Entity7, reflected on their preparation for the game, and summed up the tournament for the “Horses.”
On the loss to Entity7
To be honest, I don’t know what went wrong. We need to review the match. We felt we could have won both maps—we had a good draft, after all. I think the loss to Entity7 means our team hasn’t fully adapted to the new meta yet. An early exit from the tournament is definitely not the result we were expecting.
On preparing for the match
We had a day and a half after our loss to Aurora Gaming. Practice went very well—we even beat some of the teams in this tournament. It seemed like our strategies were working perfectly. However, we weren’t able to show our true potential in the last match, which we deeply regret.
On Team Liquid’s performance at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026
We came into this MSC as favorites. But the update released a week before the tournament began completely changed the game and made it somewhat random. That’s exactly why we’re now seeing most of the favorites suffer defeats.
Earlier, Team Liquid PH lost to Entity7 0–2 in the quarterfinals of the lower bracket of the group stage at the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026. Aeon’s team finished the LAN event in 13th–16th place and earned $45,000.
