Diablo: “We weren’t prepared enough for the match, which is why we lost.”

IGNITE Gaming analyst Wei Lun “Diablo” In a post-match interview with the organizers of the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026, Yeo discussed the reasons why the team lost their match against Team Falcons MENA in the group stage of the tournament and explained why he wasn’t able to produce any highlights.
On the loss to Team Falcons MENA
The opposing team played better than we did. We weren’t prepared enough for the match, which is why we lost. IGNITE Gaming didn’t come into the match in the best shape. We knew that our opponent likes to pick tanks in the jungle, but our own strategies weren’t good enough.
On the enemy jungler’s Akai pick
I expected Akaya in the jungle. Still, our team didn’t prepare an adequate counter to that pick. We lacked effective counters to Akaya; we should have come up with them.
On the lack of standout moments in my performance
I play as a team player, fulfilling the roles the team requires of me. Because of this, I don’t have the opportunity to show everything I’m capable of. I think my specialty lies in dealing damage, not taking it. Despite this change, I should also work on this aspect. If I’m not good enough at survivability, I should start developing in that direction. And maybe one day I’ll become an excellent tank.
IGNITE Gaming suffered a 1-2 loss to Team Falcons MENA in the quarterfinals of the MSC 2026 group stage, resulting in their elimination from the tournament in 13th–16th place. As a reward for their performance, Diablo’s team earned $45,000 in prize money.
