Team Yandex mid laner Yermek “Kodjikk” Baibulsinov spoke about staying in top form and the match against Team Spirit in an interview on Danila “Wizer” Schneider’s Twitch channel.
I think it’s the Turtle map, because on that map, you can take one tower with the Turtle about 80–90% of the time. If the enemy doesn’t send five players to defend it, you can take that tower without any trouble.
I just play, that’s all—I play for the fun of it. [How often do you play ranked?] I don’t play ranked that often. I might play a couple of games there, say, if I wake up early in the morning, or I might play a couple of games after practice. But I think it’s because I don’t play ranked that often—I really want to play MLBB. And I channel that desire to play into my practice sessions.
I think we can shut them down. Well, we can go head-to-head with them and shut them down. If we go out, let’s say, fired up like today—without fear and just playing—then we can beat them. But if, like yesterday, we go out all messed up, then obviously it’s easy to lose there. [How hard is it to play against them in general? So you’ve played them twice in the regular season: you won once, lost once. How tough do the matches against them actually feel?] Well, it’s a little stifling, let’s put it that way. Because they play by the book, don’t force anything, and it’s just a bit stifling to play against them—that’s all—compared to other teams.
Earlier, Yermek “Kodjikk” Baibulsinov talked about the loss to Aurevia Team, Novaria’s disappearance from the team pool, and the challenges of playing against meta roamers.
