ONIC advanced to the playoffs of the 2026 MLBB Mid Season Cup, while Selangor Red Giants were eliminated from the competition

ONIC defeated Selangor Red Giants in the lower bracket semifinals of the MLBB Mid Season group stage and secured a spot in the tournament’s playoffs.

Despite a rough start and a significant gold deficit, Grant “Kelra” Pillás’s team managed to fight back, win the decisive battle, and take the first map. On the second map, ONIC immediately seized the initiative and, after defeating the Lord, destroyed the opponents’ base at the 11-minute mark.

As a result of the match, ONIC advanced to the playoffs, becoming the seventh team to qualify for that stage. Meanwhile, Selangor Red Giants, who lost the match, were eliminated from the international championship, finishing in 9th–12th place. As a reward for their performance, the Malaysian roster received $65,000 in prize money.

The group stage of the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 runs from July 22 to 26 and is taking place at the Kiddie Battlefield in Paris, France. Only eight of the sixteen teams will advance to the knockout stage of the global competition. The tournament’s prize pool totals $3,025,000.
