SAWO on MCC Season 7: “The easiest grand final of my life”

Team Spirit players Matayos “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos and Stanislav “SAWO” Reshnyak discussed their victory at the MLBB Continental Championships Season 7 and the absence of a brave draft in the tournament during a team vlog.
On the difficulty of the MLBB Continental Championships Season 7 final
Kid Bomba: Okay, I don’t know, this was probably the easiest grand final ever. I wake up, see Virtus.pro vs. Verso Time. We text Fangor: “Bro, stop picking Fred.” He didn’t pick Fred, and they won one right away. After that, they were just too weak to do anything else because their morale was gone. I saw what needed to be done. I said, “Guys, let’s ban Chong on the first pick.” Then on the double, I say, “Guys, let’s take Chong, he won’t have a hero.” That’s exactly how it went. In the end, on the last map, he picked Chong on the first pick and did nothing with that Chong on the first turtle. And that hero basically had no impact anymore. And that’s it. I mean, I don’t know, everything was too predictable, too easy. Well, I guess it was too easy because there’s no Brave Draft. We just have a bigger pool and it’s much easier to draft. Like, their pool is really small. For example, they wouldn’t have been able to pick Chong like that if he played other home heroes well, like Sory or Freya, who they constantly ban.
SAWO: Yeah, I don’t know what else to say. The most ultra-easy Grand Final ever. 100% the easiest Grand Final of my life. Well, maybe I can just add that I have zero respect for Marcel. They don’t want to pick him at all, but I 100% want to pick him. I don’t know. I moved down a bit, well, to third; I was supposed to take third, but Sunset Lover wanted Valentina. We gave her to Valya. I still had Belerik; I really wanted to play him. He instantly banned Marcel. It would be something else if they played 10 grand finals, five grand finals right now. 100% Marcel would be picked in the top three, if anything. It’s total trolling that Marcel is picking at the bottom. It’s just nonsense. It’s just, well, nonsense. That’s it. I don’t want to say anything about the fact that 4 out of 6 were won by Verso Time, where Fred was up against Virtus.pro and Team Yandex.
On whether the absence of a braverdraft affected the region’s development
Kid Bomba: Well, obviously. I couldn’t have picked Chong twice for the double, and then Ospreay’s like, “Ha, should we pick Chong for the FP now, or are we definitely going to lose?” That’s total nonsense. I don’t know. Well, Chong isn’t that overpowered that you have to pick him first pick. It’s just, well, we decided to do it until the Grand Final because we see how they play, and that’s it.
SAWO: Just to remind you, we have zero picks of Chong for the entire regular season, for the whole BetBoom Rise of Legends.
Kid Bomba: Well, I picked him once in practice, I don’t know, and that’s it.
SAWO: No, we picked him in practice, maybe twice, but zero games in the entire regular season. We never had Chong. And then we just picked Chong and won games.
About the teams Team Spirit would like to face
SAWO: They’re all strong, like, we have to beat everyone. There’s no such thing. What’s the goal of the tournament? To take first place. We’re not interested in the rest. If we play the Chinese all the way to the grand final—that’d be awesome. If, on the other hand, we face nothing but tough opponents, well, that’s just how it goes—that’s fate. So we’ll have to beat them, because our goal is to take first place by any means necessary.
Team Spirit defeated Verso Time 4-0 in the grand final of the MLBB Continental Championships Season 7 and received a direct invite to the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026, which will take place in Paris from July 1 to August 1, where teams will compete for a $3 million prize pool.
