Team Spirit’s mid laner in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Kemiran “Sunset Lover” Kochkarov shared his thoughts on winning BETBOOM Rise of Legends Season 10 and discussed the team’s readiness to compete in MLBB Continental Championships Season 8 in an interview with OFFSTAGE.
As for whether I expected it to be this easy… I don’t know what to say. I don’t think, “It’ll be easy” or “It won’t be”—we just do what we know how to do. We always go into a tournament to win, whether it’s easy or hard.
Impressions? Yeah, they’re always great, as usual. It’s our home arena; our guys always support us, and there are always tons of fans. That’s awesome. It’s not like on the world stage, where you go out and everyone’s against you, and you don’t really have your own fans because it’s happening in Asia or somewhere else where it’s hard for our fans to get to. So yeah, in that sense, it’s nicer here.
It’s hard to say. How long has it been? A month or so. I wouldn’t say anything has really sunk in yet. Yeah, we won. It’s cool, it’s awesome, but it doesn’t change anything. We need to keep winning tournaments. We need to win the World Championship; there are even bigger, more major competitions that we need to win. So yeah, a win is a win, but there’s no “wow” factor yet.
The most memorable moment? I don’t know—the five of us taking a photo together, striking poses, making a star shape or something like that. It was fun. As for the games themselves… I don’t really remember anything in particular—just game after game. They were just regular matches, nothing special.
More or less. We took a break, I’d say. I’m already ready for the new season, because after the MCC there’ll be another long break, during which we’ll also take a little breather, and another boot camp in Asia is planned. But first, we have to win the MCC—which means securing a direct spot—and so on and so forth—so right now it’s going to be all-out effort, intense training, and no rest.
We haven’t really studied our opponents; I don’t even know who’ll be there. I know Team Yandex will be there, but I can’t remember the other teams. That’s it. The main contenders for the top spot against us are Team Yandex—for now. I don’t know, maybe things will change as the season goes on; we’ll see. We can’t know that yet.
We’ll start preparing for the MLBB Continental Championships Season 8. We’ll head home now, maybe take a day off, and then jump right into training.
Earlier, Team Spirit roamer Stanislav “SAWO” Reshnyak spoke about the “Dragons’” victory over Team Yandex in the BETBOOM Rise of Legends Season 10 grand final and analyzed the final maps played during the tournament’s last match.
