The Myanmar national team took first place at the 2026 Asian Games following the final match against the Indonesian team.

Following the group stage, the teams from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Saudi Arabia were eliminated from the Games. Myanmar, which defeated Malaysia, and Indonesia, which proved stronger than the Mongolian team, advanced to the final. Both semifinal matches ended with a score of 2–0.

Early in the first game of the final, the Myanmar team gained a significant economic advantage, which allowed them to play comfortably in the mid-game and avoid losing heroes right up until the final fight. Indonesia started the second map with three kills, but subsequently lost control of the situation and suffered a defeat.

By the end of the third game, the team had a three-to-one lead in kills and was ahead by more than 10,000 in gold; this victory brought the series to match point. On the final map, the teams were evenly matched, but the Myanmar team proved stronger in the key skirmishes and secured the victory.
