zaur egoist on his playstyle: “Honestly, it doesn’t matter. The main thing is to win. You can pick any hero.”

Team Spirit players Anton “Hiko” Pak, Zaur “zaur egoist” Magomadov, and Kemiran “Sunset lover” Kochkarov discussed the team’s performance at the M7 World Championship and reflected on their training ahead of the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026 in a post-match interview during the MLBB Continental Championships Season 7.
On the decline in form at M7
Hiko: So, it turned out to be two tournaments in a row. One before the “M7” and then the “M7” itself. At the tournament “before” Emka, a patch came out on the day of the tournament, and nothing in the meta made any sense at all. We had a really hard time adapting there, and as a result, we got a predictably poor result.
At “Emka,” the fighter meta took over, and we had to adapt. At first, you have one role—you’re a fighter and you win the early game—but then in the late game, you have different roles. But sometimes I played ADC, and there were already different objectives in the game. It just turned out that I didn’t adapt very well; apparently, adapting to the meta so quickly isn’t my thing. That’s why my performance was very poor at those two tournaments. I admit that myself and am just trying to play better.
Obviously, work has been done to fix that performance. We’re working on it little by little, moving in that direction. I hope to show a much better performance in Paris.
On Team Spirit’s further preparation
Sunset lover: To adapt, you have to play a lot, because it’s one thing on paper and another in practice. You have to play a lot, practice, practice, practice. Testing out new strategies. Obviously, the strongest regions do this to see what others are doing too, and to see if they can show something as well. Well, that’s it—you can’t really do anything supernatural beyond that.
On band members performing while sick
Sunset lover: We’ll keep an eye on our health, because these illnesses... It’s not like we go out and get sick on purpose. Maybe someone caught something at the airport, or maybe the body wasn’t prepared for the climate change, and so on. We’ll just take more vitamins, eat well, sleep well, and hope we don’t get sick, because there’s nothing more we can do.
On preferred playstyle
zaur egoist: Honestly, it doesn’t matter. The main thing is to win. You can pick any hero. I also really enjoy playing Baksia in the forest, and Fredrin too—I’ve only played him once, haven’t I? On MCC. It’s way more fun to play assassins, obviously, but Baksia is a blast too. You just pick an OP hero, roam wherever you want—it’s a total blast.
Team Spirit defeated Verso Time in the grand final of the MLBB Continental Championships Season 7 with a score of 4-0 and became the tournament champions. Along with the title, the “Dragons” received $12,000 in prize money and a slot in the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026.
