Aurora Gaming sniper Özgür “woxic” Eker, in an interview at the Thunderpick World Championship 2026, discussed the reasons for their loss to 9z Team, shared his thoughts on his team’s updated roster, and assessed their performance in the match against Ninjas in Pyjamas.

On the loss to 9z Team

There were many factors that contributed to our loss, which could also be seen as excuses. The match took place very early in the day, there were technical issues at the venue, and we weren’t feeling our best due to lack of sleep. On top of that, the computers were different from the ones typically used at other Tier 1 tournaments. During the match, we didn’t communicate well and hardly helped each other at all. It’s disappointing to lose, but there’s no point in getting upset. We need to come back stronger and show our true potential in the next matches.

On Aurora Gaming’s new roster

I think the guys found common ground easily and became friends quickly. Right now, we’re working hard on building team chemistry outside of the server. I can say that everyone has already gotten used to each other, and we enjoy playing together. I think that’s why our teamwork keeps getting better with every tournament.

On the victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas

After a tough loss to 9z, we talked it over and realized we weren’t playing as a cohesive unit. Our team performed well in Katowice, but yesterday we didn’t show our true form. We promised each other to regain our former energy and communicate well. Thanks to all the guys—everyone contributed to today’s victory. With this mindset, we can win this tournament.
