Kondrat bid farewell to K27’s former coach as follows:
Thanks for everything, Griga! Thank you for believing in these young guys a year ago and taking the reins of the team. We were at the very bottom of the rankings, and in just one year we’ve reached such heights! I’m sure that his success with K27 will inspire Grigory to reach new heights with a team he’ll undoubtedly find quickly!
Balblna himself commented on his decision to go inactive as follows:
I’ve decided to end my time with K27
A year ago, I joined the team when we were at the very bottom of the global VRS rankings (#270) and believed in the young talents that Ivan Kondrat had scouted. I believed in them so much that I lived and worked with the guys at boot camp for an entire year. We set ambitious goals for ourselves, and when people heard them, most laughed at us. But within just six months, we had already reached certain milestones: we broke into the top 20 for the first time, qualified for our first Tier 1 tournament, and were one step away from qualifying for a Major.
I’m leaving with respect for the work we’ve done and gratitude to everyone who joined me on this journey. A special thanks to Kondrat—he provided everything we needed for the team to grow.
This short break will be a great opportunity for me to recover and recharge for the next season. Thank you for supporting and following K27
Earlier, K27 CEO Ivan Kondratov disclosed the club’s financial figures. The CEO stated that the club’s expenses since the beginning of 2026 totaled $497,052, and emphasized the team’s intention to break into the top 20 of the world rankings, despite competitors disbanding their rosters.
