Team Falcons CS2 captain Finn “karrigan” Andersen, in an interview at the Thunderpick World Championship 2026, shared his thoughts following the victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas, discussed his individual form at the event, and spoke about the upcoming match against 9z Team to advance to the tournament’s playoffs.
Yeah, I just swapped my mouse with NiKo’s before coming to this tournament, and the result turned out great. But seriously, today’s match was a good example of how well you can play after a mental reset. Of course, there were still mistakes, but I tried not to dwell on them and just kept doing what I’ve been doing on the server for many years. It was a great day, though it might not happen again tomorrow—who knows? I want to maintain this mindset and approach on a personal level as well. Today, I was there for the team first and foremost as captain, and that’s what matters most. When we have successful games like this, Counter-Strike becomes much more enjoyable and fun.
On paper, we’re looking at an easy path to the playoffs, but we shouldn’t forget that 9z is a truly dangerous team. They’re strong, even if they sometimes have poor results. However, in this tournament, they’ve already managed to beat Aurora Gaming 2-0, which is no easy feat given Aurora’s current form. Despite all the challenges, the team is fully prepared for the matchup. We’ve been playing with a lot of confidence in this championship, so you can expect plenty of intense duels and clashes. I’m really looking forward to this match and hope my device performs just as well as it did today.
