Dota 2 Update, October 15, 2026: Applying Trove of Terror Set Effects
On the night of October 15, the Dota 2 developers released an update that enabled separate effect slots for Trove of Terror sets.
List of Changes
- Ability effects from Trove of Terror sets can now be selected separately from cosmetic items.
- Game translations for some languages have been updated.
Selecting these effects allows you to combine them with other cosmetic items. Sets from the new Trove of Terror feature new icons, animations, and ability particles; some also have new item particles.
The Trove of Terror was released in Dota 2 last week. On Saturday, Valve allowed players to transfer its contents to friends via the in-game gifting feature, but limited this ability to 30 days from the date the cosmetic items were received.
