Team Vitality captain Dan “apEX” Madeskler took the blame after his team’s loss to B8 Esports in a Counter-Strike 2 match at the 2026 Esports World Cup. He posted about this on his personal page on social media platform X.
There’s not much to say. We lost because of me—not a single good call, plus a bunch of individual mistakes. You can criticize me all you want. I wasn’t feeling my best today, but that’s no damn excuse. We’re not out yet. GG.

Earlier, B8 Esports defeated Team Vitality at the 2026 Esports World Cup in Counter-Strike 2. The Ukrainian team started the match with an overtime loss on Mirage—12–16—but then took Inferno 13–11 and crushed their opponent on Dust2—13–4. The team advanced to the playoffs, while Dan “apEX” Madeskler’s squad fell into the lower bracket.
