Legacy captain Andrey “arT” Piovese shared his thoughts in an interview at the 2026 Esports World Cup after advancing to the tournament’s quarterfinals, discussed the victory over Natus Vincere on the Inferno map, and assessed his team’s current form.
I’m very happy to have beaten NAVI, because they’re a very strong team. We prepared well for the match and knew it would be very intense. Everything went pretty smoothly on the server—the key rounds went our way, which ultimately decided the outcome of the match.
We won 10 rounds on the attack side on Inferno, but after switching sides, we ran into some problems. NAVI almost pulled off a comeback—they have a strong roster that you can never count out. I think my teammates played an excellent game today. We definitely deserved this victory.
We trained a lot before this tournament. Every match here turns out to be very tough and nerve-wracking. I think it’s important for us right now to play as many matches as possible at LAN tournaments so we can fully get used to each other and gain experience. Today, everyone on the team played at their best.
Legacy defeated Natus Vincere in the Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs with a 2-0 map score (13-9 on Inferno and 13-2 on Ancient). arT has advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament, where they will face Team Falcons.
