Legacy captain Andrei “arT” Piovezan shared his thoughts in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 on the victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas and the return of Cache to the competitive map pool in Counter-Strike 2, and also assessed the potential of Santino “try” Rigal and FaZe Clan’s current form.
We picked Cache against Ninjas in Pyjamas. I think this map fits perfectly into the current map pool. I really missed the days when teams were constantly playing it in official matches. Yesterday, everything went exactly as we planned. It’s always nice to start a tournament with a win.
Although try is still a young guy, he has a lot of experience under his belt. He’s a very talented sniper who, unfortunately, has switched teams frequently in the past. We hope that his move will help us reach a new level. He fits our playstyle well and performs excellently on the server.
FaZe is constantly improving and proving its ambitions. It’s climbing the global rankings very quickly. If I’m not mistaken, FaZe has already entered the VRS top 10. This team is very dangerous and hungry for victory. I think we’ll need to give it our all today to win and advance to the playoffs.
Earlier, Legacy defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas in their first match at the Esports World Cup 2026 with a score of 13–5. Right now, arT’s team is facing off against FaZe Clan—the winning team will secure a spot in the championship playoffs.
