Jimpphat: “I think my individual form has improved significantly.”
Aurora Gaming rifler Yimi “Jimpphat” Salo spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 following their victory over M80, reflecting on his improved individual form and assessing his new team’s progress.
On the victory over M80
I’m very happy about the win. We were really nervous yesterday—it was our first match together at a LAN tournament. It was a best-of-1 format, where a few mistakes can affect the outcome. Today, we went onto the server with a better mindset and just played our game.
On his personal form
I spent three months on the MOUZ bench and only recently returned to the pro scene as part of Aurora. Here, we’re building a system that highlights my strengths. Right now, I’m playing my usual positions, but I’m making a bigger impact thanks to the team’s new style. I feel comfortable in this system. I think my individual form has improved significantly.

Aurora Gaming defeated M80 in the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup with a 2-0 map score (13-9 on Dust2 and 13-9 on Inferno). In their next match, the team will face JiJieHao for a spot in the tournament’s playoffs.
