Aurora Gaming advanced to the semifinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, while BetBoom Team was eliminated from the tournament
Aurora Gaming defeated BetBoom Team in the quarterfinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
On the first map, Nuke, the Turkish team defeated their opponents 13–6. Then, on the next map, Anubis, Engin “MAJ3R” Kupeli’s team once again proved to be the stronger side, winning 13–9.
As a result, Aurora Gaming advanced to the semifinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, while BetBoom Team exited the tournament in 5th–8th place and earned $45,000.
The IEM Cologne Major 2026 is taking place from June 2 to 21 in Cologne, Germany. Thirty-two teams are participating in the tournament, only eight of which have secured spots in the playoffs. The Major’s prize pool is $1,250,000.
