PUBG’s esports division has unveiled a list of changes coming to the competitive scene in 2027. Among the new features are additional regions, a revamped partner program, and a new esports points system.
EMEA will be divided into Europe, Eurasia, and MENA, while the Americas will be split into South and North. Additionally, India will be added to the list of regions. It is noted that these changes will open up opportunities for new teams to compete on the regional and international competitive scene.
Four competitive phases are planned for 2027:
Each phase begins with a regional league, where participants compete for spots in the international tournament; performance in these leagues earns PUBG esports points—these points accumulate throughout the year and are required to qualify for the PUBG Global Championship.
Securing a slot in the PUBG Global Series (PGS) during one phase does not guarantee participation in subsequent phases—this is done to give new teams a better chance of making it to the world stage.
Starting in 2027, the partnership will focus on in-game items and marketing activities. Program participants will not receive slots in the PGS—they will need to qualify through regional tournaments. Further details will be announced later.
The current points system will be replaced by PUBG Esports Points. Under the new system, points will be awarded exclusively for performance at PGS events. They accumulate throughout the year and are required to qualify for the PGC.
Please note that dates are subject to change.
Earlier, the PGS 2026 Circuit 4 Series 1 concluded, with Virtus.pro taking first place and Team Liquid coming in a close second. The PUBG Global Championship 2026 will take place in Istanbul from December 1 through 13, with organizers offering a prize pool of $1.5 million.
