BanKs on cheaters in Premier mode: “I stopped playing CS2 and switched to CS 1.6.”
Host James “BanKs” Banks discussed FACEIT’s current issues in the latest episode of the All About Counter-Strike podcast and also talked about the numerous cheaters in Premier mode.
On the downside of FACEIT
If someone asks why I play Premier mode, I’ll say—you can play on FACEIT too, but because the platform added a shared voice chat between teams, it’s not safe for streamers. People can say unpleasant things that could get me banned. Even if those people get banned from the platform themselves later, they might just be doing it on purpose because I’m streaming.
About cheaters in Premier mode
We had a good time with friends in Premier. I play at around the 25,000–26,000 level, and even on our team there were cheaters—I talked to them. Things are getting worse. If I remember correctly, we played six matches on the first day and four more the next day while I was streaming. After the second day, I stopped playing CS2 and switched to CS 1.6.
About Counter-Strike
You might say you should just kick the cheater. But if you’re not playing in a four-man squad, that’s impossible. I understand that Valve doesn’t want to make it that easy to kick someone, but I’m just trying to play for the fun of it, to enjoy my free time. I love this game; I’ve been playing it for 23 and a half years. And right now, it was easier for me to go back to 1.6 than to deal with the problems I was facing. People tell me to play FACEIT with my friends, but I can’t, since many of them have ratings that are too low.
