Devilwalk on BLAST Bounty Summer 2026: “donk didn’t play like he usually does”

Host James “BanKs” Banks and analyst Jonathan “Devilwalk” Lundberg assessed the current form of Astralis rifler Viktor “Staehr” Staehr, discussed the FaZe Clan vs. Team Spirit match at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026, and reflected on the struggles of Danil “donk” Kryshkovets.
On Staehr
BanKs: Without a doubt, his role and position are better now than they were before, when he was a support, but even back then he performed excellently—we’ve already spoken highly of him. This player is very talented; I think he doesn’t get enough recognition, which is unfair. He really plays well.
On the FaZe Clan vs. Team Spirit match
BanKs: They didn’t stand a chance on Dust2, but then there was Cache. And I really like the fact that FaZe Clan is so dominant on that map—Twistzz and frozen have a lot of experience on it. …> But on Dust2, they lost to literally everyone: paiN Gaming, Team Vitality, Magic, PARIVISION. It’s a tough map for them.
On donk’s performance at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026
Devilwalk: donk wasn’t playing the way he usually does. And I remember from an interview—though I can’t say for sure which day it was—that he said... This isn’t a direct quote; I’ll just convey the general gist. He said that the coach expects him to improve in certain areas: communication, teamwork to some extent, and so on. …> I assume that donk focuses most of all on aim, movement, and playing for himself. And that’s what makes him great. But if you take that away and add more things he has to pay attention to, he won’t be able to focus enough on the rest. So I’d like to gently ask: could this be a mistake on the part of the coaching staff? Perhaps they’re asking him to do too much at once instead of simply letting donk be himself.
In the previous episode of the podcast, host James “BanKs” Banks and analyst Jonathan “Devilwalk” Lundberg discussed several matches from the recent BLAST Bounty Summer 2026. Specifically, they touched on the matches between The MongolZ and FaZe Clan, 3DMAX and MOUZ, and Team Liquid and Team Spirit.
