BanKs on Team Spirit in the BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 final: “They were simply destroyed on the first two maps.”

Host James “BanKs” Banks and analyst Jonathan “Devilwalk” Lundberg discussed the recent BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 final, which pitted MOUZ against Team Spirit, in a new episode of the All About Counter-Strike podcast series.
On Team Spirit’s performance in the BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 final
BanKs: They were simply destroyed on the first two maps. Spinx played brilliantly, as did everyone on MOUZ, even though there were moments like donk’s four kills early on Dust2—but a comeback still didn’t happen. When we got to Ancient, to be honest, I thought it was going to be a 0-3 for sure.
On MOUZ’s strengths
Devilwalk: Team Spirit knows how to execute excellent counter-strategies, but in my opinion, MOUZ was able to adapt well, find the right solutions, and play calmly. Their players didn’t feel any stress. In those matches, including the one on Ancient, MOUZ was in control of the situation on literally every map. That’s how I see it. I didn’t feel like MOUZ was surprising Team Spirit in any way; they just played and demonstrated a calm and consistent style of Counter-Strike.
On Team Spirit’s problems
Devilwalk: I’m disappointed in Team Spirit. It was obvious that the players were nervous.
BanKs: If you watch Team Spirit from the very beginning, you can see how the players start to get more and more frustrated.
Devilwalk: But how often do we see Team Spirit lose on Dust2?
BanKs: I agree. And yes, they might lose on Mirage overall, but they need to be more competitive on that map.
In the previous episode of the podcast, Jonathan “Devilwalk” Lundberg stated that Team Spirit’s rifler, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, performed weaker at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 than he had in the past. The analyst attributed this to the coaches demanding too much from the player—for example, improving his communication skills.
