BanKs on the MOUZ vs. Team Vitality match at BLAST Open Porto 2026: “jL took this loss very hard.”
Host James “BanKs” Banks, in the latest episode of the All About Counter-Strike podcast, assessed the teams’ performances at BLAST Open Porto 2026, discussed the match between FURIA and Team Spirit, and analyzed the reasons behind Team Vitality’s loss to MOUZ.
On FURIA’s match against Team Vitality on Nuke
What FalleN did on Nuke was simply incredible. That’s when I thought Team Vitality was going to crash and burn. He went into the “secret” and headshot two players at once. FalleN showed off his top-tier aim, which we hadn’t seen from him in a long time. I don’t know what happened then, but he was the key player in that match.
On the Team Spirit vs. Team Falcons match
I was worried that the Team Spirit players wouldn’t be in top form, but that didn’t happen. Team Falcons picked Nuke and only took one round on attack. They simply didn’t stand a chance, and it wasn’t just because of the donk. Both sh1ro and tN1R played exceptionally well—in fact, everyone played great. <...> It’s good that hally is back with Team Spirit now. He wasn’t at the Major when the team lost to Team Falcons. That speaks volumes.
On the MOUZ vs. Team Vitality match
Team Vitality definitely had a chance to take Dust2. Perhaps the problem was that the players don’t know each other well enough yet and aren’t coordinating as they should. In other words, mezii’s absence was noticeable. On top of that, jL took this loss very hard. <...> In the group stage, jL had the best rating among his teammates, and then finished the playoffs with a rating of 1.05.
Earlier, Team Spirit claimed the title at the BLAST Open Porto 2026, defeating MOUZ 3–1 in the grand final. Boris “magixx” Vorobyov’s team won on Dust2 — 13–8, Ancient 13–3, and Nuke 13–6, losing only on Mirage 11–13. The team received $250,000 in prize money for first place.
