BC.Game Esports has proposed to Valve that it completely reset its VRS points for a chance to qualify for the Major

Ali “akofocus” Mohanned, CEO of BC.Game Esports.

BC.Game Esports CEO Ali “akofocus” Mohanned has called on Valve to completely reset the club’s VRS ranking points in exchange for the opportunity to compete in the Asian region.

We’ve spent the last few days reading everything that’s been said about BC.Game Esports, our position in the Asian VRS rankings, and the Major.

We understand why Valve has implemented stricter regional rules. The integrity of the system must be protected, and we respect that. However, we find it difficult to accept that our situation is being treated exactly the same as any other case.

Our current roster includes three Asian players—asap, mzinho, and Senzu. These are three esports athletes who have competed at the highest level of Asian Counter-Strike. They are the backbone of our team. They are the players we believe in. Therefore, rather than arguing over old points, interpretations, or technical details, we want to propose what we believe to be the fairest solution of all possible options.

Take all our points.

Reset the BC.Game Esports ranking to zero VRS points and let asap, mzinho, Senzu, s1mple, and Magisk start with a clean slate. No past rankings. No inherited points. No advantages. Only the results earned by these five players from this point forward should count. That’s exactly how we would be treated if a brand-new organization entered Counter-Strike with these five players today.

We’re not asking to be treated better than anyone else. We’re asking not to be treated worse.

Give us the same starting line: zero.

We have about three weeks. We know that going from zero to a sufficient number of VRS points in that time might be nearly impossible. We’re ready to take on this challenge. If we can’t earn enough points, we won’t go to the Major. We accept that. But if these five players start from absolutely zero and somehow make it to the Major in three weeks, then they’ve earned it.

We don’t want to cut another player just to find a technical solution to the problem. These are our five players. Let them win or lose their chance on the server.

We’ve invested millions in Counter-Strike because we genuinely want to be part of this community and support its ecosystem. We’re not asking to take away what another team has earned. We’re willing to give up everything we’ve earned ourselves. Just give our five players a chance to earn it all over again. Reset our scores. Let us play. Let the server decide.

0 points. 5 players. 3 weeks.

If we lose, we’ll stay home. If we succeed, then we’ve earned it.

Earlier, BC.Game Esports head coach Viktor “TaZ” Voitas criticized Valve’s new rule on changing VRS regions and called the introduction of a three-month restriction shortly before the Major a dangerous precedent for clubs.
