BetBoom Team and 9z Team have advanced to Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major

BetBoom Team and 9z Team defeated their opponents in the second stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 and advanced to the third stage of the tournament.

BetBoom Team faced Monte and won 2-1. The Russian squad took the first map, Nuke (13-7), but the Ukrainian team pulled ahead on Mirage (13-6). The decisive Dust2 went to the team led by Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov (13-8).

In a parallel match, 9z Team faced off against TYLOO. The Chinese team lost in straight maps: 10-13 on Overpass and 6-13 on Inferno.

Thus, BetBoom Team and 9z Team advanced to the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, while Monte and TYLOO moved to the lower bracket with a 2-2 record.

Stage 2 of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 began on June 6 and will run through June 9 in Cologne. The tournament consists of four stages: Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, and the playoffs. Thirty-two teams are competing for a prize pool of $1.25 million.
