BetBoom Team CEO on FL4MUS: “At this point, buying out Timur doesn’t seem like an obvious option for us.”

BetBoom Team CEO Artem “Pioneer” Savelyev published a post on his personal Telegram channel, where he summed up the past season for his Counter-Strike 2 roster.

It’s been almost two weeks since the Major ended, but only now have I had the chance to look back and share my thoughts on how this season went for us and what we plan to do next.
1. Coaching Staff
In my opinion, this was the key change that allowed us to make a leap forward. We needed our own Pep Guardiola—someone who could build a system of play and unlock the potential of our current roster. We found him in Tyoma Firs.
BB Tim is the organization with the most Artyoms—enough to fill two rosters. Take note
Also, Sanya Noukipish joined us this season. If he’s willing, he’ll reveal more about his approach himself, but one of the problems we wanted to solve first and foremost was “shaky hands” among certain players during LAN tournaments and tilting mid-match after a round that was surprisingly lost. We’ve gotten stronger in this regard.
And please, stop calling him Spirit’s former psychologist. He’s ours now, a BB guy
2. Captain’s Moves
I’ve mentioned before that Kirill “Bumych” had the hardest time adjusting to the new coach. That’s not surprising: you’ve won a dozen tournaments, and then you’re being “taught” how to play the game all over again. I’m exaggerating on purpose here, but I think you get the point.
In the end, Kirill Mikhailovich put his trust in the new coach, and now we have one of the strongest captain-coach partnerships, which is delivering results on the court.
3. He’s no pushover
Magnoses. You might say, “Donk’s best friend.” I’ll say, “Donk is Magnoses’ best friend.” It might seem like there’s no difference, but there is
Kirill is a great talent who is currently in the right hands in terms of coaching and mentorship. I see our present and future tied to this player.
4. The Euro Tour and the Two Musketeers
The season turned out to be crazy and tough. Constant tournaments under less-than-ideal conditions, for which we even had to pay to participate. Then a productive boot camp in Belgrade, the players in excellent individual form…and we didn’t get our visas.
Timur Flamus and Sanya Zorte came to our rescue.
Next came three tournaments in a row, food poisoning for several players, and fevers and chills for the entire five-man squad at various times.
In a way, it’s a miracle that we made it to the Major… or maybe not.
We still remember that very game where one more lost round would have cost us a spot in the playoffs and a berth at the Major. But the worthy are the worthy.
5. Stop, Vite needs to come out
An amazing trip to Atlanta. Everyone will remember it for the victory over Vitality, but the key takeaway is that, heading into the biggest tournament of the year, the team gained confidence—we’re capable of beating virtually any opponent.
At the time, we didn’t yet know that Pasha wouldn’t get a visa.
6. The Cologne Run
We’re traveling with a substitute. We realized this the day before our flight, when it became clear that Sirena hadn’t been issued a passport.
From Stage 1 to the playoffs. It was probably hard to imagine that we’d pull off such a run, but our confidence grew with every series we won.
We’re proud of ourselves. We’ve achieved an excellent result in just one season. Now our top priority is to maintain this level of performance. It’s important not to rush and not to make impulsive decisions. Subconsciously, you always want to improve something, but as they say, the best is the enemy of the good. We’ll have time for that later.
Next season, we’ll be playing with the same roster we’re fielding right now at the tournament in China.
7. Timur and his team
The most common question we get is: “When are you going to buy Flamus?”
My answer: not this year.
Signing a player is always a complex matter. Roles, map positions, individual skill, personal qualities, mental toughness, synergy with other team members, and, of course, the buyout price (you can’t ignore that). The coaching staff strives to thoroughly evaluate what signing a player would bring us both now and in the long run. And at this point, signing Timur doesn’t seem like an obvious option for us.
Earlier, BetBoom Team defeated BIG 13–11 in the second round of the group stage of the XSE Pro League 2026. The Russian team is currently facing off against Team Nemesis—a victory would send them to the championship playoffs.
