Boombl4 after BetBoom Team’s elimination from the IEM Cologne Major 2026: “This is a great experience for our young team.”

BetBoom Team captain Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov shared his thoughts in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 following the team’s elimination from the tournament, discussed their loss to Aurora Gaming on the Anubis map, and summed up the season for his team.
On BetBoom Team’s performance at the IEM Cologne Major 2026
I’m overwhelmed with incredible emotions. We made it to the IEM Cologne Major playoffs via the stand-in slot. Our journey at this tournament was a very long one. Thank you to everyone who cheered us on! I think this is a great experience for our young team. I’m satisfied with the result, although, of course, we could have played better. Unfortunately, today just wasn’t our day.
On the loss on Anubis against Aurora Gaming
We had a tough time on Anubis—our economy just didn’t come together. Also, I think in some rounds we just couldn’t land our shots and couldn’t make up for our fallen teammates. We were just a little unlucky.
On the past season
I still can’t believe we made it to the Major playoffs. It was a very tough season. Over the past few months, we’ve been playing with a bunch of stand-ins. Nevertheless, our team managed to achieve excellent results. We’re looking forward to the next season.
BetBoom Team lost to Aurora Gaming 0–2 in the quarterfinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026. Boombl4’s team finished the tournament in 5th–8th place and received $45,000 in prize money. The Russian team’s next event will be the XSE Pro League 2026, with the first matches taking place on July 1 in China.
