BetBoom Team captain Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 after his team was eliminated from the tournament, and also discussed which mistakes the team needs to correct as soon as possible.
On their performance at the tournament
In this tournament, we’ve already failed to pull out a match three times due to economic issues, and we played poorly. The event didn’t go very well for us. We need to go home and fix our mistakes as quickly as possible, because we have other tournaments coming up. Overall, it’s all pretty disappointing.
On the team’s main problem
We need to focus on the start of the match; we only start playing well after ten rounds. I think that’s the main problem.
On goals for the season
I think we need to improve our structure for the current season and maintain a high level of play. I hope we’ll perform better in upcoming tournaments.
Earlier today, BetBoom Team was eliminated from the 2026 Esports World Cup in Counter-Strike 2. The Russian team faced Ninjas in Pyjamas but lost decisively: 3–13 on Nuke and 11–13 on Anubis. As a result, Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov’s team finished in 25th–32nd place.
