Competing at this level of tournaments is a bit new to me, but I’m doing everything I can to adapt as quickly as possible. When I signed with HEROIC, I was fully aware that at first I’d have to compete in slightly less prestigious events, so everything’s fine. I’ve faced 3DMAX multiple times before on the Tier 1 scene, so today’s matchup wasn’t particularly difficult or confusing. I had a pretty good idea of exactly how 3DMAX would play. That doesn’t change the fact that in certain situations, they can easily catch us off guard—they have a unique style that most opponents don’t use. Lately, we’ve been training hard against teams from the Tier 2 scene, so I’m already pretty familiar with them, even though I haven’t studied them all yet. It wasn’t that hard against the French club, since I’ve faced these guys quite a few times before.

The transfer window was a bit hectic. There were some offers from other clubs, but it turned out that the organizations were hesitant, considering other candidates at the same time and working out their budgets. HEROIC, however, made an excellent offer, and I accepted. Things aren’t going completely smoothly right now, and there’s a bit of chaos, but that’s just the initial phase. We have a roster of very talented guys, and I believe they’ll soon develop into top-notch players. Plus, this is Martinez’s first international experience, so he also needs to adapt to the situation. Things are unstable right now, but we’ll get through it all in the future—you’ll see.

He has talent, but he still has a long way to go. It took me quite a while to adjust to the role of captain myself, so this is completely normal. I try to share my experience with him and offer advice, especially in the areas where I’ve excelled: calling plays mid-round and communicating during breaks. It’s clear that Chr1zN wants to improve, and I appreciate that. I’m pleased with his progress.
