Bymas: “Boombl4 is one of the best IGLs”

Rifler Monte Aurimas “Bymas” In an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, Pipiras talked about how he got his start on the pro scene, assessed the recent match against G2 Esports, and praised BetBoom Team captain Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov.
On the start of his esports career
It happened by chance. I was a kid, grinding a lot, and one day NiKo messaged me on Twitter [Social media X. — Ed.] and said, “Bymas, are you free this weekend?” I replied that I was, and then he asked me to join TeamSpeak and said he needed a stand-in for FaZe Clan. That’s how my career began. That’s right, my first professional team was FaZe Clan. It was tough for me because I had no experience and found myself alongside such strong players as coldzera, NiKo, and rain. It was tough, but to be honest, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way, since I got the chance to play with such great people. Then I joined MOUZ, where I stayed for a few years and learned a lot.
On the overtime victory against G2 Esports
The most important thing we took away is that you have to fight until the very end—nothing is lost. Overall, we were satisfied with our performance on Mirage. It proved that our practice on that map wasn’t in vain.
On BetBoom Team
They are very good players, including in terms of individual skill, and Boombl4 is one of the best IGLs in the game.
Right now, Monte is playing against BetBoom Team; the winner of the match will advance to the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, while the loser will be relegated to the lower bracket with a 2-2 record. The second stage of the Major is taking place from June 6 to June 9 in Cologne.
