Counter-Strike 2 Update from August 20, 2026: Boulder and Poseidon Updates

On the night of August 20, Valve released a minor update for Counter-Strike 2. The patch updated the Boulder and Poseidon maps to the latest versions from the community workshop and fixed a bug related to moving along walls.

  • The map has been updated to the latest version from the Workshop.

Poseidon

  • The map has been updated to the latest version from the Workshop.

Gameplay

  • Fixed a bug that caused the player's speed to be too high when moving along walls.

The total size of the update was approximately 980 MB.

The previous Counter-Strike 2 update was released on August 13. The total size of the previous patch was about 2 GB, and the changes it included affected the Fachwerk and Shelter maps, which were also updated by the developers to the latest versions from the Workshop.
