CYBERSHOKE banned the Benched Gods roster on suspicion of cheating

CYBERSHOKE announced that it has banned five players from the Benched Gods team on suspicion of using cheats. According to the platform, all five were banned following an internal investigation.
According to CYBERSHOKE, Benched Gods player Alexander “Wign” Petrov was previously banned during the open qualifiers for the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR for using cheats, and his teammate Nikita “BloodyK” Dobrynin was banned from the Cyberpark Cup 2022 for a similar reason. The company also stated that players from this roster had previously been disqualified from other competitions, including tournaments organized by VK Play, and that measures had been taken against them by the organizers of PGL and GLuck Esports.
In addition, the platform noted an unusually high volume of bets on matches involving Benched Gods. According to the platform, approximately $563,000 was wagered on the team’s match against CYBERSHOKE Esports, and another $335,000 on the Benched Gods vs. New Vision match. The company noted that such figures are atypical for CCT-level matches, and both matches ranked first in betting volume among all CCT series matches in July.
In addition, CYBERSHOKE published links to several accounts on the Polymarket platform, whose owners, according to the team, regularly placed bets on Benched Gods matches and made significant profits.
In its post, the platform also noted that it had previously banned players from the Oramond roster. The company pointed out that shortly thereafter, Anton “AntyVirus” Alexandrov, a member of that roster, retired, and the team disbanded.
In April, tournament operator GLuck Esports suspended Benched Gods from participating in all of its tournaments for five years. The reason was suspicious activity by the team, which was uncovered during the closed qualifiers for GLuck Yungstar: Series 1.
