Devilwalk: “Lately, I’ve been a bit of a 3DMAX hater.”

Host James “BanKs” Banks and analyst Jonathan “Devilwalk” Lundberg discussed the recent matches at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 in the latest episode of the All About Counter-Strike podcast series.
On the match between The MongolZ and FaZe Clan
BanKs: The MongolZ faced off against FaZe Clan. I think The MongolZ could have taken that match 2-0 if they hadn’t lost on Nuke. They were leading 10-2; I can attribute that to a lack of practice and the presence of two young players. But, of course, it’s easier to play in a studio than in a big arena.
On the 3DMAX vs. MOUZ match
BanKs: I was partly convinced that MOUZ would be eliminated right after that match. 3DMAX is particularly strong on Dust2, so I wasn’t all that surprised that MOUZ lost on that map. But when Nuke started, I thought one team would take rounds one moment, and the other the next.
Devilwalk: Lately, I’ve been a bit of a 3DMAX hater because, in my opinion, they should have improved faster than they have so far.
About Team Liquid
BanKs: Yeah, they beat Team Vitality in the online stage and looked good. Still, Team Spirit dominated their match against them, 13–7 and 13–5. But I still liked how they performed, though maybe that’s strange. Team Spirit is a tough team; they play really well in LAN stages. donk finished those two maps with a rating of 1.76. Things like that can happen.
BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 took place from July 21 to August 2, featuring 32 teams. MOUZ emerged as the tournament champion, defeating Team Spirit 3–1 in the final match. The German team earned $263,563 for first place.
