djL on Gentle Mates’ CS2 performance at Stake Ranked Episode 3: “Of course, I’m not happy.”
Gentle Mates coach Daniel “djL” Narančić assessed the team’s performance at the tournament in an interview on Stake Ranked Episode 3 and also discussed the team’s plans for the future.
On Gentle Mates’ performance
Of course, I’m not satisfied. I don’t think we played to our full potential today. But setting that aside, overall we’re doing everything we can, so I’m a little disappointed right now. But yes, everyone tried really hard, and we’ll keep grinding and getting better for the next tournaments.
On possible roster changes
To be honest, we’re not thinking about that. We came here together and gave it our all. As I said, we fought hard and tried to show our best.
On CRUC1AL as a stand-in
We’ll keep playing with him. In my opinion, he fits perfectly into our system and all that.
Earlier, Gentle Mates were eliminated from Stake Ranked Episode 3. The team lost to 3DMAX in a match on the third day of play: 2:13 on Ancient and 7:13 on Cache. As a result, the team finished the tournament in 5th–6th place, earning $9,000 in prize money.
