A new episode of the Snake & Banter podcast has been released, featuring analysts Alex “Mauisnake” Ellenberg, Duncan “Thorin” Shields, and Donald “voo” Parkhurst. Here’s a quick rundown of the highlights in our article.
On MOUZ’s victory, sycrone’s performance, and torzsi’s progress
The analysts highly praised Dennis “sycrone” Nielsen’s contribution to MOUZ’s victory at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026. In particular, Mauisnake called him the best coach on the pro scene, while Thorin noted that the coach achieved success with a roster lacking standout stars, managing to bring out the best in players, many of whom came up through the organization’s academy.
voo also highlighted the play of sniper torzsi, who, in his opinion, has noticeably improved his skill, although he is still struggling in decisive matches.
On donk’s slump, his chances for Player of the Year, and S0tF1k
Mauisnake and voo believe that Danil “donk” Kryshkovets is currently going through a slump. According to the analysts, the Team Spirit rifler continues to demonstrate a high individual skill level, but has become noticeably less consistent, and his chances of ending 2026 as the world’s best player have significantly diminished.
Ellenberg also stated that he would like to see Dmitry “S0tF1k” Forostyanko as Team Spirit’s head coach, since under his leadership the team played a more exciting brand of Counter-Strike and made more effective use of its strengths.
On FaZe Clan’s performance and the play of JBOEN and Neityu
Thorin gave a positive assessment of FaZe Clan’s performance at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026, noting that the team could have even been in contention to win the tournament.
Mauisnake, in turn, called Jason “JBOEN” Boe Nielsen a promising player capable of becoming an important part of the roster. At the same time, both he and voo criticized Ryan “Neityu” Aubry, pointing out that he regularly makes mistakes, although he was able to make up for some of them with strong plays at the recent event.
On FaZe Clan, Twistzz as IGL, and the Future of Team Liquid
Speaking of FaZe Clan, analysts highlighted the progress Russell “Twistzz” Van Dalken has made as captain. According to voo, the Canadian has significantly improved as an IGL, and the team’s strong offensive play is largely due to him.
Mauisnake, discussing Team Liquid’s future, suggested that the team will maintain its spot among the top 15 teams in the world in the coming months, but noted that the roster needs to step up its game a bit to make further progress.

In the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Grand Final, MOUZ defeated Team Spirit 3-1 to claim the tournament title. As a result, the German team earned $266,563 in prize money.
