FURIA captain Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo spoke on his personal X account about the club’s women’s Counter-Strike 2 roster switching to VALORANT.
The women from FURIA and others who are switching to VALORANT to play a game with a more active scene — are a sad reflection of the failure or lack of interest—on our part, on the part of the viewers, and on the part of Valve and tournaments—to try to find alternatives that would allow the ecosystem to function.
On the other hand, it’s good that there’s another game where they can continue to compete at a higher level. I think it’s a great story, and, to be completely honest, I’m curious to see how they’ll perform against the women who’ve been playing there for a long time.
Earlier, FURIA announced that its entire women’s Counter-Strike 2 roster would be making the switch to VALORANT. The team’s last tournament in CS2 was the CCT South America 2026 Series #1, where FURIA Female finished in 20th–22nd place without earning any prize money.
