FURIA captain Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo shared his thoughts in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 about his team’s early exit from BLAST Bounty Summer 2026, and also discussed the “Panthers’” preparations for the tournament in Paris.
Of course, it’s sad to lose the first match of a tournament. We wanted to start the season better, but we lost to DENDELE, who was in top form at the time. The match took place online, so it wasn’t easy for us. After the loss, we just kept moving forward and focused on training.
We had a three-week period during which we worked on our gameplay and improving our individual form. I, yuurih, KSCERATO, and sidde were at a boot camp in Malta, while YEKINDAR and molodoy trained from home.
We focused most of our training on our anti-force plays. We need to win more rounds after losing the pistol round. We also came up with new strategies for some maps. I think we definitely have something to show at this tournament.
FURIA defeated 9z Team in a Group Stage match at the Esports World Cup 2026 with a 2-1 map score (13-6 on Dust2, 13-16 on Mirage, and 13-6 on Nuke). Thanks to this victory, the “Panthers” advanced to the tournament’s playoffs.
