French Minister of Sports on hosting the EWC 2026 in Paris: “This competition confirms the country’s ambitions.”
Marina Ferrari, France’s Minister of Sports, Youth, and Civic Life, commented on social media about esports events in the country, including the upcoming Esports World Cup 2026.
The Paris La Défense Arena is hosting the Rocket League Championship Series—one of the largest international esports events held in France.
Just days after the president announced that Paris would host the next Esports World Cup in 2026, this competition underscores the country’s ambition to become a leading venue for international esports events.
Thank you to BLAST, Epic Games, and everyone involved in the development of this promising industry.
Earlier, it was announced that one of this year’s most anticipated esports events—the Esports World Cup 2026—will take place in Paris, not in Saudi Arabia. French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his gratitude to Riyadh for their trust and stated that he is proud of the opportunity to host the competition.
