In an interview at the 2026 Thunderpick World Championship, FURIA’s players and coach shared their thoughts after defeating BetBoom Team in the tournament final.
Yuri “yuurih” Santos noted his team’s composure in the final:
Today, we had the composure to see the match through to victory. It wasn’t easy—we lost a few rounds we shouldn’t have. Still, I’m proud of my team. Everyone played great, especially on the last map.
Rifler Kaike “KSCERATO” Serato spoke about the challenges on the road to the trophy:
To be honest, the road to victory was a tough one. We competed in a lot of tournaments in a row. I’m glad we finally managed to win the trophy.
For his part, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo reflected on FURIA’s challenges and hard work:
This victory means a lot to me. All the hard work has paid off. After our early exit from the last tournament, many of our problems came to a head. I was even worried that it might break us. For the past week, I’ve been working nonstop—training a lot and analyzing demos. We have a very packed tournament schedule. I’m incredibly happy about this victory here in Malta—it’s like a second home for FURIA.
Coach Sydney “sidde” Macedo explained how the “Panthers” bounced back after their loss on Nuke:
After losing the third map, I was furious. We just weren’t playing like ourselves. It was an important match against a worthy opponent, and at times we lacked good teamplay. We decided to stick to our style and see how it went. The plan worked perfectly. We deserved this trophy.
Sniper Danil “molodoy” Golubenko celebrated the victory and thanked the fans, his teammates, and his family for their support:
molodoy: Thank you all for your support. I know it hasn’t been easy to root for us, since we haven’t had the best results over the past six months. I also want to thank the team and my family—they never stop believing in me. I’m thrilled with this victory!
Earlier, FURIA rifler Marek “YEKINDAR” Galinskis spoke on the latest episode of the Talking Counter podcast about burnout in esports and his return to the pro scene, and also reflected on his team’s current challenges.
