G2 Esports has advanced to the Esports World Cup 2026 CS2 playoffs, while M80 has been eliminated from the tournament
G2 Esports and Aurora Gaming secured victories in their group stage matches at the 2026 Esports World Cup.
In the first match, G2 Esports defeated BIG 2-1 (13-5 on Cache, 13-16 on Ancient, and 13-1 on Inferno). In a parallel match, M80 faced off against Aurora Gaming. Ozgur “woxic” Eker’s team proved stronger than their opponents on both maps of the series—13–9 on Dust2 and 13–9 on Inferno.
As a result, G2 Esports advanced to the Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs, while Aurora Gaming and BIG will continue their campaigns in the lower bracket, and M80 finished last and was eliminated from the tournament.

The Esports World Cup 2026 for Counter-Strike 2 is taking place from August 12 to 23 in Paris. The tournament features 32 teams competing to determine the 16 playoff qualifiers. The prize pool for this LAN event is $2,000,000.
