G2 Esports has moved SunPayus to the bench
The esports organization G2 Esports announced that its marksman, Álvaro “SunPayus” García, has been moved to the bench. The official announcement was made on the club’s X page.
We have decided to move SunPayus to the bench.
Alvaro, thank you for representing our CS2 roster with dignity and for bringing a positive atmosphere to the team.

Earlier, G2 Esports lost to Team Spirit in the quarterfinals of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 with a score of 1–2 (13–9 on Overpass, 12–16 on Dust2, and 22–25 on Mirage). The “Samurai” finished the tournament in 5th–8th place and earned $45,000.
