Gabe Follower reported that players have begun gaining access to the new “Patrol” feature in Counter-Strike 2

Insider and data miner Maxim “Gabe Follower” Poletaev posted on his personal X account that players have started gaining access to the new “Patrol” mode in Counter-Strike 2.

It has just been confirmed that one player gained access to the new “Patrol” mode without a direct invitation. He isn’t sure exactly what caused it, but he has a rating of 16,000 and has played “Patrol” in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Here is the disclaimer text that appears upon entering the portal:

“Welcome, you have been granted access to the VACNet tagging portal for Counter-Strike 2. On this page, you will be shown gameplay clips from Counter-Strike matches. Please watch the clips with sound and answer the questions provided. The player you are observing will not be directly affected by your verdict. Instead, the labels may be used to train future VACNet models. It is normal (and expected) that you will often select ‘Not Sure.’ Please be certain if you select any other option. To avoid helping cheaters discover ways to better hide their cheats, please do not stream, record, or share videos of these clips.”

Earlier, Valve released a minor update for Counter-Strike 2, in which it added a mention of the “VACNet marking portal” and its logo. In addition, a “CS2 Video Review” section has appeared on the game’s official website, which is presumably intended for viewing recordings in a browser, similar to the “Patrol” feature in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
