Wildcard rifler Jadan “HexT” Postma shared his thoughts in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 following the team’s elimination from the tournament and outlined the mistakes the team made in their match against paiN Gaming.
In my opinion, we lost the second map because of our own actions. Maybe we let our emotions get the better of us, or we couldn’t make decisions quickly enough, and that ended up affecting the outcome.
On the last map, we didn’t really get into the flow of the game; they outplayed us every time. We weren’t able to execute the plays we’d practiced. And that’s something we definitely need to analyze. We lost to ourselves again when it came to managing our emotions.
Our goal is to qualify for the Major, although it’ll be harder now.
Earlier, Wildcard lost to paiN Gaming 1–2 at the 2026 Esports World Cup in CS2. The North American team took Inferno in overtime—16–12— but then lost on Nuke (3–13) and Mirage (7–13). Following the defeat, the team finished the tournament in 25th–32nd place.
