G2 Esports captain Nemanja “huNter-” Kovac, in an interview at the 2026 Esports World Cup, discussed which team to watch out for in the tournament’s playoffs and also assessed his performance alongside Artem “r1nkle” Moroz.
On opponents at the 2026 Esports World Cup
It’s hard to say—it’s still early in the season. I don’t think anyone has managed to play perfect CS yet, like they did at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. But I’d say Team Falcons is a team to watch out for, since they won the Major; that said, any team could surprise us—for example, Team Vitality or Team Spirit.

This is an important experience for him—playing in front of a live audience. We’re getting used to each other—we to him, and he to us—to understand how we work together, prepare, and handle challenges at online events. So, I think this tournament is a great experience for all of us, especially for him.

Earlier today, G2 Esports defeated Astralis and advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Esports World Cup in Counter-Strike 2. Nemanja “huNter-” Kočar’s team defeated their opponent 2-1 in maps: 6-13 on Ancient, 13-6 on Dust2, and 13-7 on Inferno.
