“It’s hard to believe this lineup will work”—analysts reacted to the roster changes at G2 Esports

Yesterday, G2 Esports moved Álvaro “SunPayus” García to the bench and signed Artem “r1nkle” Moroz to replace him. The news immediately sparked a wave of reactions in the community.
Jakob “Pimp” Winneke approved the move and speculated on which team the club’s former marksman should join:
SunPayus should go straight to Team Liquid. It’s an obvious upgrade and the perfect place for him to gradually get back to his former form. G2 did the right thing—but will Liquid do the same?!
Guillaume “neL” Canelo only partially agreed with his colleague; the “Samurai’s” newcomer and his potential raised some doubts for the Frenchman:
I can understand kicking SunPayus, but signing r1nkle seems a little strange. To be honest, I’m not sure if he’s even an equivalent replacement. But he had potential before moving to NiP, so we’ll see. <…>
Alexander “kassad” Trifunović had mixed feelings; on the one hand, he praised the move, but on the other, he criticized the organization:
This is a very bold move on G2’s part; I like it. They’re still sticking to their plan of playing without star players.
Alex “Hawka” Hawkins was seriously disappointed by what happened:
SunPayus was benched for r1nkle?! For that damn r1nkle?! This is the worst day of my life.
Janko “YNk” Paunović found the substitution strange due to the fundamental difference in the snipers’ playstyles:
This roster shake-up at G2 is insane. r1nkle and SunPayus are players with completely different styles. Head coach sAw has an incredibly difficult job ahead of him integrating the newcomer.
To be honest, I find it hard to believe this roster will work out.
Duncan “Thorin” Shields declined to comment on r1nkle’s signing, but he didn’t miss the opportunity to take another jab at Team Liquid:
If I were in Team Liquid’s management, why not pull a fast one and snag SunPayus? When you’re broke, you don’t get to be picky.
Dustin “dusT” Moore was surprised by the club’s decision and recalled another candidate to replace SunPayus:
What the hell is going on? You literally already had kl1m under contract... Let’s just hope that this year with Ninjas in Pyjamas hasn’t wiped out all of r1nkle’s past talent.
