Team Falcons captain Finn “karrigan” Andersen shared his thoughts in an interview at the 2026 CS2 Esports World Cup following their loss to Legacy and discussed the mistakes his team made.
This is a map we’re still working on. It definitely wasn’t our best map since I joined the team. Today, our opponents played in a way that put us in tough spots.
Legacy has a playstyle that’s tough to deal with. They try to dictate the game to their opponents and control everything. They did a good job of that; we already had trouble against them back in Shanghai. So when they play exactly like that, they become a difficult opponent.
In my opinion, we didn’t play that badly on Dust2 and showed good mental toughness toward the end of the game. But they kept putting pressure on us on the long side, and we weren’t gathering all the necessary information. As I said before, I think they played exceptionally well today. Did we put on a good performance? Probably not. This taught us a lesson we need to learn. This is a team that has already beaten us twice, so we need to find a way to beat them.
Earlier, Legacy advanced to the semifinals of the 2026 Esports World Cup without dropping a single map to Team Falcons. The Brazilian squad started the series with a 13–7 victory on Mirage and then sealed the win on Dust2 with a score of 13–10. Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s team finished the tournament in 5th–8th place and earned $60,000 in prize money.
